Bladed Circle

The shining, silver rings of the Pillar Relentless are surrounded by a the great fortress of the Legions of the Nine Hells, from which the battle for control of Gehenna is prosecuted. Rank upon rank of barracks, vast garages filled with war machines, great beat pens and a central citadel packed with officers, war chambers and the multitudinous merchants and other services even an infernal army needs to survive are ringed by an imposing wall of bent, broken and melted blades of every imaginable form, and many more besides. The Bladed Circle is said to be fashioned from the swords, spears and axes of every opponent who ever fell to the wrath of Imrael the Fallen, Commander of the Bloodwing and First Captain of the Hells.
The forces mustered at the Bladed Circle are drawn from all of the Nine Hells, and bolstered daily by the harvest of evil souls who rise from the Styx as lemures and weapons and machines from the Soulforge Foundry. They fight primarily to defend their shore of the Styx, the walls of the chasm Escharon and the foundry, but also simply for the joy of what they conceive to be righteous slaughter.
