Bleys Greyshade, Archlector of All Ciphers, Keeper of the Perilous Athenaeum and Whisperer in Darkness.
Bleys Greyshade is an almost unique entity; a mortal who successfully bargained with the forces of the Nine Hells for enough power to become a devil, and as such acquired the influence to become an Archdevil, culminating in aggregating enough credit against Q'Vas the Marquis of Mirrors to lay claim to Inveris, securing a seat on the council as well as engendering a centuries' long rivalry with Q'Vas.
Bleys corrupts mortals with the offer of forbidden lore, and does so in no small part by offering himself as a model of the hope that one can deal with a devil and win. He is noted as a master of arcane magic, and offers this mastery as a warlock patron and as a teacher for wizards seeking greater power.
Bleys cuts a humble figure, a human male most often, of no conspicuous height, and clad in a simple, cowled robe of grey. He carries a book and a pen. A chatelaine hangs from his belt, and from it hangs the great key Klayve.
