Strat House

While there are many who assume all Lorehold students are archaeologists, this is far from true, but for those who are interested in spending their summers at remote dig sites and get excited about coprolites, Strat House is the fraternity for them. Members maintain an active job and internship board with research opportunities, as well as help each other with finding grants and other funding sources.

Housing

Most Strat members living in a building known as the Ziggurat. The design for the building was commissioned from then Quandrix student, later renowned architect Imad Hadid in AE 677. The location on Lorehold's campus and design were chosen so that the pyramidion would align with one of the visible stars from the Aidonian zodiac each month, for at least a brief time. Other elements of the design were inspired by models made by Lorehold students and professors attempting to show what the ruins that they study

looked like in their heyday, namely those of Hadid's home country, the Kingdom of Hazar. Today, the Ziggurat is considered one of the greatest of Hadid's early works. The interior of the building features high ceilings and open concept spaces, perfect for formal gatherings and keg-stand competitions alike. It currently can house up to twenty-two individuals in bedrooms on the first and basement floors.
