Parrhesia Fraternity
1st of Sun's Swell, AE 721
Parrhesia Fraternity is currently the oldest fraternal organization at Bruxaria. Its membership has much overlap with the Bruxaria Bulletin, having trained generations of scathing investigative journalists who always hit their marks and never back down from a death threat. Despite their emphasis on Silverquill's perspective of shadow and their appreciation for skillfully veiling that which should not be seen, Parrhesia considers candor to be one of their defining virtues. Within their walls, they endeavor to speak the truth in all matters, especially when they're lying.
One of the founding members and first president of the Fraternity, Ndidi Akunna, was rumored to have fallen through a Fey Realm fault during her childhood, only returning years later. Supposedly, this time spent there greatly influenced her relationship with the importance of truth and language, eventually leading to her contribution to founding the fraternity.

Parrhesia provides housing to its members in Cardinal Hall. Located on Silverquill's campus near the Rose Stage, Cardinal Hall's design was inspired by the style of protective communal homes once common among Tongdao communities. It is a square, two-story building with one front entrance leading into a central courtyard containing a garden and small shrine to Nezna, the goddess of knowledge and magic. The bottom floor contains communal spaces, including a number of private study rooms of varying sizes and a small library, and the upper floor contains all the bedrooms.
