Geoffrey the Hat
Geoffrey is a priest of Corthain, but has given up adventuring and forcefully righting wrongs, which incidentally is much of what is required in a priest of his order. Geoffrey's sense of revenge, or punishing for grievous crimes has dissipated. He is jaded, angry, and second-guesses himself for the wars in which he participated that have left much suffering, and devastation in their wake.
Geoffrey is convinced Gritznak the Bold is a challenge sent to him by Corthain, but he has not reconciled himself enough, nor amended his contradictions to his order to rise to the challenge. He persuaded Eryl the Hoskin to send for more capable means to deal with the bandits. If Geoffrey doesn't amend his ways soon he will no longer receive Devine dispensation.
He is currently only able to heal after a raid, and has knowledge to aid the ill. Being learned he assists Eryl as his scribe, and council. Some in the community expect more from him, but his failure to live up to those expectations have left him more reclusive.
He lives in a well made wooden structure at the entrance to town, but it is clear when anyone enters the shrine, that services have been long since utilized. The rear of the shrine is a kennel where Geoffrey breeds, and raises herding dogs.
