Following the Disjunction, the world was in chaos. The people who survived began to gather in small groups forming nomadic bands and farming collectives. It form among these people that the Herald of the Light rose. The Herald traveled among the tribes telling of the how the old gods had abandoned their faithful and of the promise of the Light to protect them. He further claimed to have been sent to guide them to a new home. Not all welcomed the Herald's message, but he soon gathered tens and then hundreds of followers from across the plains and foothills. Only then did the Herald lead his people to the Trisian Valley in which they were to settle. It was here where the Korash and Vermir rivers split from the Kormir River that they built their city.
