Alaurae Glannis

Being among the many new members of Queen Dalia's court in the last drow city of Avalencia, being the lead diplomat for her people. Her appointment was required, due to the rather traditional thought process of her predecessor and how it debilitated the peace talks between the drow and the other elves of the alliance. Alaurae, known for being a diplomatic woman of Avalencia's nobility and able to negotiate between the many houses within the city, preventing many possible schisms that could have occurred. This reputation made her the obvious choice for the role moving forward, especially due to be a great advocator of the alliance, truly believing that the Feywild will provide salvation for her people.

Forced to Survive

Alaurae was the first born daughter of the Glannis family, making her the heir to the family, but her birth was a complicated one to say the least. She was frail, weak, being born prematurely due to a unique illness. She was always a weak child, getting ill constantly, her body unable to fight back even the simplest of diseases. Due to her body essentially wasting away and killing itself, doctors theorised that she was suffering from a variation of The Godless Plague, which would mean certain death. Still, given the wealth and influence of her family, Alaurae would be given the best care possible, growing particularly close with her maid, who was a 'half-blood'. Eventually, she would beat the Plague, a black, veiny scar being an everlasting reminder of her disease, and be ever grateful to the woman that cared for her during this time. 

Advocator of Rights

Alaurae would become quite the advocator for the rights of those who were not pure drow, while also being a spokeswoman for her family, managing to prevent a fair few feuds. This caught the attention of Queen Dalia, who needed a skilled diplomat that shared her more modern views. Alaurae, realising that she could do so much more with this position, while also bringing a great deal of prestige to her family, she simply could not turn down the offer. Despite the harsh reputation of the drow, Alaurae managed to be very effective in the following peace talks, being instrumental in procuring fair treatment for her people in the Feywild.
