Krenn Leviss

Protector of Ellhesari's heir

The Ellhesari Royal Guard of today is known to have the youngest set of knights, but Krenn Leviss is the youngest of them all. Being the newest knight, Krenn has been assigned to the role of Protector of Ellhesari's Heir; however, this is currently a purely ceremonial role, given that King Rotholian Glyn does not have an heir as of yet. The Royal Guard must always have eight, which has put Krenn in an awkward place. For now, he acts a second personal protector of King Rotholian alongside his colleague Hallas Landin.

Personal history

When King Rotholian decided to retire many of his father's aging Royal Guard members, he tasked his new Lord Commander, Ellaria Anari-Fellon, with finding replacements. This took her years, being extremely selective with her choices, although some believe that she simply waited for her brother to return from exile so that he could take his place alongside her. Krenn was the last of the knights she chose, the youngest son from a lesser known noble house. He was skilled for sure, but it was not his skill that garnered Ellaria's attention. 
It was known that there was a final spot in the Royal Guard, a position many nobles wanted for their younger children, as it would boost their own, personal renown. Many would appeal to King Rotholian, offering him whatever they would to assure a position for them or their children; however, the King would say the same thing over and over again. 'It is not I that selects the new knights. It is my Lord Commander, and it is she that you should appeal to.' None would appeal to Ellaria directly, despite this, for fear that she would scold them, due to her stern reputation. Krenn had no fear about this, confronting Ellaria while she was helping set up a tournament. He would demand a duel with the Lord Commander, stating that, if he won, he would have to be made a member of the Royal Guard. She accepted the young noble's challenge, surprised by his skill and speed. Ellaria is known to be the best of all the knights; however, and Krenn proved to be entirely outmatched. Because of his bravery, Ellaria decided that he should have the last spot in the new Royal Guard, becoming their youngest member since Ellaria herself.
