Ruijin Monastery
The Ruijin Monastery was theorised to have once been the lord's hall, back when The Nashuto called the isle their home, along with The Isle of Beasts, being by far the grandest complex of building in the area, being constructed atop on of the tallest hills near the isle's centre. Not much is known of the monks that reside there, other than that they are are skilled martial artists, specialising in the monkey style martial art, likely learned from observing the monkeys that are native to the isle.
Architecture
Much of the architecture has been saved from its time as a Nashuto style castle atop a hill, maintaining the swept, square roofs that are synonymous with the Nashuto. Being built atop a set of hills, there are a few bridges leading from building to building, with many a courtyard being in the centre of these buildings, often being used as training grounds. One of the most notable landmarks in the monastery is the giant statue of a winged woman, which towers over all building in the complex, being the tallest point on the Isle of Pithíkon. None are quite sure who or what the statue is meant to represent, as it does not resemble any goddess or famed saint, but its mystery does give the monks a fair bit to ponder.
History
The building itself was renovated in a monastery long after the Nashuto that build it left it to be a ruin. Because of this, some of the building is in disrepair, being 'fixed' with hatch like wooden constructs at best. Despite being lived in by the Ruijin monks for some time, the building still remains blackened by its years of abandonment decades prior, losing much of the paint and colour that would have made it a much greater sight in its heyday. It is said that the tribes people that moved into the monastery did after following the signs of the 'still one', referencing the giant statue in the monastery ground, hoping to achieve the discipline that this 'still one' allegedly once had in their time alive. They do this through the study of their unique, monkey style martial art, which they are somewhat famed for.
