The Sovereign

One of The Triumvirate, The Sovereign is a towering, armored figure, with the gap in his helmet being entirely dark, leading to many to believe that he is simple just the suit of armor, with there actually being no body inside. Being one of the Triumvirate, The Sovereign is seen as somewhat of savior for the people of The Continent, stepping up in place of the Gods, given their absence ever since the events of The Divine Exodus. Unfortunately for the members of The Triumvirate, many do not believe they exist, making it difficult for The Sovereign in particular to interact with mortals, given that he is incapable of speaking, even despite his rather distinct armor.

What is known about The Sovereign

Almost nothing is known of The Sovereign's history, except from what The Oracle has said about him on his behalf. According to those that have spoken to The Oracle, The Sovereign is a fallen member of The Obsidian Council, which does little to explain anything about him personally, given how old the original Council is. It is not stated which member of the Council The Sovereign is, adding to the confusion, given that there are only four of the original twelve members still living to this day, with the names of most being lost to time.   Along with the other members of The Triumvirate, The Sovereign first appeared after The Divine Exodus, essentially aiding in the 'clean up' of the Kingdom of Salardia in the decades that followed, returning the undead back to their graves. After this, the activity of The Triumvirate has been quite, with The Sovereign especially being rarely seen in the centuries that followed his appearance.

Theories Surrounding The Sovereign

Outside the children of Pyra, the First Dragon and Filodoxia, The Ascended, many of the members of The Obsidian Council are unknown to mortals of the Age of Exodus. Given The Sovereign's size, it is theorised that he could have once been the demi-god son of either Volfen, the First Goliath or Kharagg, the First Orc before his revival. This is in line with his warrior like demeanor; however, his inability to speak and his sightings being few and far in between make it impossible to confirm. Those that are in the know about The Obsidian Council theorise that he, along with The Guardian, are spawns of Harbingers or Sentinels, similar to another, lesser known member of the Council, Yezra Crescenthart.
