The Luminarium

The Luminarium is located on Bluefyre Isle in Albernia. This building served as Zoldar Han's personal library and at the time was recorded as having an excess of fourteen thousand books. While he did have an extensive library at home and at his univeristy, Zoldar wanted higher knowledge to be availible to those who truly sought it. The Luminarium is the only major remaining library from before the Age of Gold.

Construction

The building itself is set into the cliffside and a large oculary tower emerges from the summit of the mountain. Utop this tower is a large sundial that casts a shadow that can be read from the tower. From a distance, the building is characterized by its large blue walls and beautiful glass domes. The building has not deteriorated in the past few hundred years. This is attributed to the likely use of Endomic during the construction. When Zoldar had built the building, he intended it to last.

Guardian

Tragically, the building has been completely off limits to knowledge seekers due to an Intruder. The Intruder was imprisoned in the countryside surrounding the library by Zoldar when he fought another rival wizard. Zoldar had intended to remove the creature but had died before he had the chance to do so. The nearby village is built around the trail leading to the library, and they have kept a log of every visitor who has failed to return.
