Red Hand
The Red Hand are a loosely organized group of ruffians, bandits, thugs and general troublemakers. The group serves whomever pays them handsomely and quickly. Their loyalty is to themselves and the current patron of the moment.
Structure
The Red Hand is a loose collection of "cells" located throughout the Glen Conon region. Each "cell" has a "captain" with 2-3 "lieutenants" and a number of "soldiers". Most of the time the different cells are clueless as to what is happening with the other cells.
Culture
Like most gangs of ruffians, greed, power and control drive the Red Hand. Originally members lived harsh, short and often brutal lives. Following control by Glasstaff the members found their lot much improved. The gang moved from seeking a few coins or some goods on the trails and roads of Glen Conon to more "organized crime" types of activity. This shift gave the gang more power, influence and control as well as a steadier stream of revenue.
Public Agenda
The Red Hand seek to further the aims and goals of their leader (currently Iarno "Glasstaff" Albrek) and their latest patron. They do this through intimidation, control, harassment, robbery, thievery, and thuggery.
History
The Red Hand began as a bandit group that roamed the countryside of the Glen Conon region, seeking money and resources by harassing, shaking down and robbing travelers. The group became more organized and took on the name and brand of the "Red Hand" under the leadership of Iarno "Glasstaff" Albrek.
