Personal history
Na Réaltaí-Riviere was raised on both on the banks of the River Faintree and in the ramparts of The Mantle and would in fact grow over time to become Anima's premiere weaponsmith, The Mistress of the Sacred Forge of Foirnéis Neamhaí, founding the Síoraíc school of preternatural metallurgy and forging a number of enchanted weapons featured in pivotal battles including the famed Swan Song superweapon credited with ending the Magner Conflicts.
Na Réaltaí-Riviere notedly spent the first 10 millennia of her life focused on her work in the service of Anima to the exclusion of all else, though on an expedition to the realm of Mortelle in the company of Découverte she would come across a young knight named Ser Kay Toussaint and think for the first time of love. Na Réaltaí-Riviere and Toussaint were Sworn together in the old Animist fashion and their union produced future knight of Camelot at Mortelle, Griflynn Toussaint. They would only parent one child together before Balestriere's duties under Ciúnas called her back to her homeland in 1293 PA/10,495 GS/LM shortly after her transition to Camelot, leaving Kay and Grifflynn behind before embarking on a short reconnaissance mission.
Balestriere was not to return from her short reconnaissance mission, however, as disaster struck several months into a covert operation conducted by Découverte (ostensibly surrounding the resolution of the Magner Conflicts, though this remains unconfirmed as several members of the order are still believed to be under Ciúnas themselves): all that has ever been confirmed is that several months into this operation she stepped into a trap and was misted with a vaporized form of the Sleeping Sickness. She stayed awake long enough to warn her compatriots and succumbed shortly after, falling into a slumber in which she still remains 25 years later. Due to the lasting effects of her order of silence and the implications of Mortelle interference in the trap that bested her Balestriere regrettably could not be returned home to Mortelle and her fledgling family. She is asleep in a case of Il-Dath overlooking the forge of Fórneís Neamhai.
