History
Having come from similar backgrounds to ascend to royalty and the name of House Pendragon, Guinevere of Lychnis and Ena of Cyneburg became fast friends in the years proceeding Arthur's coronation, during which Guinevere served as Ena's lady-in-waiting. It was crafty Ena who saw a chance to restore the name of House Pendragon and avert her grandson from the course her idiot son was already on, and the widowed queen went out of her way to ensure Guinevere and Arthur spent a fair amount of time in proximity of each other. The rest, as they say, is history, and following the death of King Uther Ena took on a role as court advisor to the King and Queen. It's a relationship hallmarked by undeniable similarity and deep mutual respect.
A former scullery maid who ascended to the throne following a lifelong friendship and clandestine romance with Arthur, the Queen of Camelot is a kindly and reserved figure: Slight of frame, kind and respectful to all of her subjects, still wearing mourning black.
