the Book of the Marvel's from Beyond Aldern is a book written by the merchant, writer, and painter, Marou Poulou in 6600sc. The book describes the author's travels into Alanspace and beyond its Crystal Sphere to strange new worlds. He claims to have traveled with an unnamed Elf, usually referred to as 'the elf.' The pair travel in the elf's flying ship called a Spelljammer.

Scholars debate the book's authenticity and truth. The accuracy of the book's descriptions and images have been verified over the years as the understanding of Alanspace have growing. However, few believe in other worlds out there beyond the crystal sphere. Those that argue the complete accuracy of the work points to the fact that many of the subjects within, that modern readers take for granted as truth, were completely unknown, and unbelieved in Poulou's lifetime.

Today a volume of the book can be found in near every major library across Ethae. So prevasive is it, that modern readers may find it hard to believe the book was not a success in Poulou's lifetime. The man spent much of his life traveling to promote the book. His income came from painting full size recreations of the illustration with the work. The most famous of these is the ten-foot-tall painting of the Sea of Creation in the Black Pyramid of Southern Jerain.
