the First Dark Elf
The Ballads of the Fey'are give the early accounts of the founding Elf people, the Fey'are. Several of the works within give account of the matron of the dark elves (Juhl'are), Juhl. She is said in some of the poems to be the sister of Soun, others his lover. Though it is obvious in every account she had long lived in the world prior to the Gilgurth event, her early stories do not seem to be recorded or are lost to history. As one historian puts it, "Juhl may have existed before Gilgurth, but her story does not begin unti after Gilgurth."
