Vaskerin Bog

The Lonego Fields, or Vaskerin Bog, is a large marshy peatland near the northern tip of the Nopum Peninsula in northern Novyum. The land is covered in shallow, often icy pools, lakes, and river, fed by glacial run off from the mountains of the Balinak Range.

Lonego is a major reservoir of fresh, often frozen, water. Its soggy wetlands make travel a struggle and it, along with the Balinaks, has shielded New Open from land invasion throughout the city's long life.
