Port Horizonshroud

Port Horizonshroud is a port city on the southern tip of the Stratian Empire, within the Wyrmblessed State of Sirgil. Despite the heavy mist which often obscures the horizon (and gives the city its name), the port has become a bustling stop for traders and travelers from the Iyend Republic.

Demographics

As a major port city, people from all walks of life can be found in Port Horizonshroud. The citizens of the city are predominantly humans, dragonborn, and elves, but there are also several communities of gnomes, halflings, dwarves, and various other races.

Government

The city is part of the Wyrmblessed State known as Sirgil, and thus falls under the governance of that state's legate. However, rulership of the city is overseen by a dragonborn woman named governor Nayassa.

Industry & Trade

Much of the commerce between the Stratian Empire and the Iyend Republic is conducted out of Port Horizonshroud, since sailing to or from Horizonshroud results in the shortest possible trip between the two countries. The trade route is generally quite well guarded, but even so there are occasional tales of daring pirate attacks which against all odds manage to spirit away valuable cargo, much to the chagrin of both the Stratian Empire and the Iyend Republic.

Guilds and Factions

Due to the potential for profitable trading, numerous guilds and enterprises operate out of the city. However, despite its relative prominence as a trade city, no full-fledged Dracospear currently resides in Port Horizonshroud. Instead, a few low-ranking honorary members have made it their home.
