Seegson

Summary

Seegson is a modern alternative to Weyland-Yutani in computational infrastructure (its A.P.O.L.L.O is considered a lesser variant on the MU/TH/UR starship mainframe) and synthetic laborers (the Working Joe model as an alternative to David and Ava units). Seegson builds on the Tyrell infrastructure concerning mobility while its neurologic pathways are decidedly simpler (and often regarded as inferior). Seegson has established the USCSS Del Paraiso, Colony Ship as a flagship for its A.P.O.L.L.O mainframe and sees Enoch III as a demonstration of its Working Joe units. Seegson's position in the marketplace has led to its partnership with The Temple for financial support in undertaking the Del Paraiso mission, though the specifics of such an arrangement continue to be undisclosed.

Corporate Identity & Culture

Seegson is a European company of Swedish origin. Sieg and Son were founded in direct competition to the Anglo-Japanese Weyland-Yutani (the de facto corporation of the United Kingdom and Japan). Seegson worked hand-in-hand with the European Union up until its dissolution. Its alternative technologies proved in theory, if not in marketshare, that WY tech was not the end-all-be-all in extrasolar exploration. As a result of its coordination with the European Union, it is familiar with organized labor. Its bold purchase of Wallace Corporation (the successor of Tyrell Corporation) gave it access to a variety of advanced analog technologies and replicant sciences, fueling its development of Working Joe units.   Seegson is often seen as a sympathetic alternative to Weyland-Yutani and its corporate positions are valued as such. It works extensively with "contractors" which do not gain the benefit of Seegson corporate citizenship. Seegson citizens are often given wide-berth in their interaction with other corporate and government regions and are therefore highly desirable. The Devout of The Temple have ensure their ongoing "free agent" status while those that fulfill their Shareholder Agreement arrangement will be granted corporate citizenship as desired (or an appropriate sum if forfeited).

Industry

Most well-known by Seegson are the Working Joe units that have been employed extensively in Sol System mining and construction operations. USCSS Del Paraiso, Colony Ship has been equipped with one hundred such units (often called Joes, Janes, and Jerrys depending on their physiological layout) to facilitate the colonization of the Enoch System. In addition, three advanced units have been provided for stress testing, deployment, and advanced research.   In addition, the USCSS Del Paraiso, Colony Ship is equipped with an experimental A.P.O.L.L.O. Mainframe. A.P.O.L.L.O. mainframes are considered substandard competitors to the MU/TH/UR units of WY, but Seegson aims to make the Del Paraiso a model of its competitive capacity.
