The Great Forest

Once the Great Forest covered much of the lands, home to the Elves and the High Eladrin before them.
The Last War took its toll, it was an important strategic location and the resources of the land were priceless after decades of fighting.
But more than that, the Ending has devastated the Forest. Since then, every year more and more trees die off, fewer plants grow and the beasts of the Forest are driven mad with hunger or the effects of the magical changes. The forest shrinks inwards every season and the Elves have not managed to stop the retreat of their home.
