Shizani replaced one of her arms with a Mechanical Prosthetic following the loss of several of her fingers due to one of her alchemical experiments going wrong.

Shizani Ashdew is the Wife of Zefer and Halvreth Ashdew as well as the Owner and Foreman of the Ashdew Steelworks of Dragonholme. She oversees the production of the projects the Steelworks creates and handles many of the more unique orders herself. She is a Genius in both Alchemical and Mechanical studies, being one of the only living individuals with more than a passing knowledge of Old World Technology.
She is aided in running the Steelworks by Karieed Eld, her daughter in law. Her Son, Gilroy Ashdew, and his other partners, Ykiza Eld and Orgos Ashdew, are infrequent attendants to the Steelworks but offer their own personal expertise when they are present. When the five of them are present they often squabble over designs but create truly astounding marvels, such as the Mechanical Great Wyrm they gave the name of Bahmut in honor of the Fallen Platinum Dragon. Lined with the Platinum Scales of Kenina Ashdew this massive Mechanical construct is viewed as the last line of defense of Dragonholme. It has yet to be activated int he defense of the Nation but the power source they used for it was enough to warrant the interest of several Gods including Dragonholme's own Klexia Andronas.
When Shizani is not busying herself with her tinkering or inventions she can often be found with her Husband in the Dragon's den which serves as both her home and her own Private Workshop. Here she crafts special concoctions for her family or fashions for them specialized armaments. She makes regular trips to the Upper Plane of Mount Celestia to spend time with her Wife and enoy the wonders of Celestia. During these trips she has earned the distinction of being one of the few Weaponsmiths to craft weapons used by the Archangels, or more accurately modify the weapons of the Archangels. She has added her own brand of Alchemical infusions to their weapons in a hope to make them more effective against the Demons and while they are effective it has led to an ongoing competition between Celestia's smiths and Shizani herself.
