The Quanin Province
If you ever need to learn how to throw a punch, don't go to Quanin. You'll get a very direct lesson on it. A painful one. - Shinryu Varag
The Quanin Province is ruled by King Shu and its security is not maintained by Armies but by powerful individuals, usually trained in the Martial Arts. The Quanin are devout followers of Sun Wukong, Irori, Cian and Vania Lamplier and Shinryu Varag.
Structure
The King of Quanin is an absolute monarch who rules over the Kingdom and is aided by a bureacracy of Eunuchs who help manage the affairs of the State. These young people are often placed in charge of Armies, managing economic affairs or on rare occasions, acting as spies or Assassins as needed.
King Shu prizes daughters over sons as the Celestial Dragon of Tian Xia continues to aid the Province of Quanin, in exchange for a mortal maiden's heart every twelve years, granting the girl a Wish. These Wishes are used to continue Quanin's prosperity and defend it from its enemies when its champions are not enough. This Ceremony does not end the Girl's life but does connect her with the Celestial Dragon. Those who perform this ceremony enjoy extended lifespans and divine health for their lives.
Culture
Quanin is focused on Martial Arts to continue its defense, acting as champions to match entire armies with a handful of inidividuals. As such they follow a strict discipline in monasteries throughout the Province, each training in their own form of combat. Monasteries will engage in competition with one another but these will generally not result in deaths, each warrior is to valuable to lose.
Outside of the Monasteries, the culture of Quanin is sparse. They have agriculture and Trade but these are often overshadowed by their neighbors and much of their way of life is dedicated to martial combat, such that all citizens are at least somewhat capable of fighting while unarmed, even if that level of combat is nowhere close to the champions who dedicate their lives to it.
The People Worship the Gods Sun Wukong and Irori and the Demigods Cian Lamplier, Vania Lamplier and Shinryu Varag. While the worship of the Demigods is not done widely, a handful of monasteries do dedicate themselves to the these three, often seeking out knowledge in addition to their martial practices.
