Lord Gaspard de Kachemar, heir of Kachemar (a.k.a. Gatano)

Gaspard is an Oni of the Akumuh strain and the estranged son of count Caradoc de Kachemar of Kachemar Keep in northern Corvain. . Gaspard is a sorcerer who gains his power from his oni bloodline. He has abilities that are associated with spirits and death. He has a vast interest in history.

Personal history

Like most onis, the younger Gaspard indulged in cruelties. He used his title and charms to selfishly satisfy his base desires and cruel whims. He took a particular delight in seducing young women, only to leave and break their hearts and hopes in the meanest fashion possible. When he met Eyrin de Calibor during a feast in Lanfaer he decided to add her to his list of conquests. But Night of the Emerald Haze Night of the Emerald Haze [/history]  happened. While the green light conjured by Eyrin affected the other guest with manic euphoria, Gaspard saw himself for what he really was, all the cruelties and and malice laid bare. By being confronted with the evils of of his demonic oni inhertiance, Gaspard found himself partly freed from their influence.
He later clashed with his father and was exiled from Kachemar, along with his cousin Rowan. They took to travelling the Chivalric Lands pursuing their own interests. However they kept being hound by agents of the Kachemar family and sought refuge with Hashkai
When he eventually heard that Eryin and her siblings were returning to Blackstone Pass , he conviced Rowan to seek their patronage, hoping to learn more about the woman whose magic altered the course of his life
By creating magic items for baron Chipelric de Calibor the cousins managed to gain the patronage of House Calibor . He helped Eyrin researching Tol Tinarath and assisting in translating the cinvaran ritual that was used during the The Mavrais Murders The Mavrais Murders [/history]  .
Gaspard accompanied the siblings to Tal Velora to vist Tianol's Beacon. During Urei's Ambush Urei's Ambush [/history]  he managed to save Eyrins life with som quick thinking and spellwork. While visiting duke Saeverin d'Ornaths home in Mavrais, Gaspard revealed his status as the heir of house Kachemar and his apperant exile.
Later, at the Mistburning at the Midnight Gallery Mistburning at the Midnight Gallery [/history]  Gaspard told Eyrin about his felleings for her, his oni nature and the full extent of what happened to him when they met in Lanfear
