Clearing 5} Onyx and Ezrane
Here Onyx was, allowing some stranger to haul him off to God knows where. Under normal circumstances he would’ve been more sceptical, but, he had woken up not too long ago. The teen was still a little drowsy and it was clouding his better judgement.
Could he die? Maybe. Did he care? Meh, too tired. Though, Onyx was curious as to what exactly this Troll wanted. What was this..crap, what was it? Oh, they wanted to recruit people. That’s right.
Anyways, Onyx was lazily following the other while occasionally sneaking a peek at the landscape around him. He had seen it all before, it wasn’t new. Onyx sighed once the two came upon a familiar clearing.
“Okay, wouldn’t you say that this is far enough?” He groaned. The other’s grip on his wrist hurt a little, but, that didn’t bother him. What did bother him was how they had to walk. Onyx normally wouldn’t mind, but damn. Walking sucked.
The barefoot troll released her grip on his wrist, before turning to face him. With both arms apparently jammed in the pockets of her too-big overcoat, she asked "S o ,howd oy ouf eel ab out thegov ernm ent ? Em pire spec ific ally, yo ukno wwha tImean ."
She had her revolver in her pocket, entirely ready to turn on this human in case he made any wrong moves. Intimidating itself would likely work, though she could certainly get violent if need be. It'd make a hell of a story to tell Cydorn, too.[/container]
”You mean the system of power that exploits people based on their financial weaknesses and shit? Don’t care for it.” Onyx replied, rubbing his eyes a little. “Never have had a fondness for it, neither do any of my friends.” (Meaning his single friend.)
He cracked his neck, looking up at her and gazing at her blankly. “Why, are you like- some officer or something, or?”
Oh, a human who knew something about trolls! Of course, since tealbloods were designated as 'civil servants'-- most popularly as legislacerators-- he'd think she was in on it. However, he was still a human, with a distinctly human point of view. Financials be damned, people were dying!
"Y eah,ye ah, yeah . Y oukn owI' mask ingab outth eEm p ire, hum an. Blo o dca stes an dall . " This guy might already be a lost cause, she needed to find someone who she wouldn't have to coddle and explain everything to. Not that her matters were time-sensitive, she was just impatient.[/container]
”I’m assuming you’re wanting to fuck shit up?” He questioned, though there was a hint of curiosity. “I wouldn’t be all that helpful. Sure, I can draw an arrow and shit but I can’t say that’s the most useful thing.”
“Best weapon I have is a can of soda just shooting out of my deck,” Onyx mumbled as a joke to himself.
“If you aren’t wanting to fuck shit up, though, I don’t know what to tell you. All I can say is a solid “fuck you” if you work with the system in some way shape or form.”
Normally he was levelheaded about stuff, but, politics and such? It all infuriated him to an extent. It was one of the only topics that could rile him up, that and having someone antagonize him.
Well, wasn't this one a hothead. Certainly a glass house sort of judgement coming from Ezrane, but the last thing she needed was some guy blabbing around. This one didn't look like the most promising of prospects. She nodded in a manner she hoped would come off as sympathetic, and let him keep talking. More rope, as far as she was concerned, if she as going to just dump him here in the woods.[/container]
”Is it odd to say that you seem a little off? I mean, I’m probably wrong, but, y’know. It’s just the sixth sense thing. That gut feeling.”
“Random, I know.”
Ezrane shot him a look. She was a shirtless, shoeless, giant-coat wearing, one-armed tealblood who just woke him up and dragged him further into the woods. Not that he'd noticed the arm thing, probably. Sure was dark around the trees, after all.
"Wh at'rey ouas king ." Her hand tightened slightly around the gun. Humans didn't have psionics, right? They'd better not.[/container]
”You just seem tense?” Onyx prodded, frowning. “Not that I blame you- we are in a forest with potentially harmful things.”
“Then again, all that’s really out here is rabbits, squirrels and an occasional fox. Maybe.”
"Tch." She kept her hand in her pocket, relaxing minutely. "Y eah,de finite lyn otbe cause you 'reone ofthefi rsthum ansI've bother edtalk ingto. In them iddleo fthew oods." He reminded her very slightly of an old friend, but she wasn't going to worry about that right then. Why she'd even dragged this guy all the way out here, she wasn't actually sure.[/container]
”You don’t talk to us humans often?” Onyx asked as he rose a brow. “Not that I blame you,” he added, shrugging. “I talk to trolls kinda often? I mean, whenever I go outside I’m bound to talk to a few before leaving the city for out here. Granted, it’s not intentional and I’ll only say, like- one thing.”
