Church of Dawn - Dawnbank
After the first had created the settlement of Dawnbank and began to cover basic survival needs such as the growing of food, the collection of water, and shelter from the cold, some who actively wished to worship the Lady of Life took the time to create a place where they felt they could pray to and worship her easier. Although this initial place was originally a small sanctuary, as the number of worshippers grew, a small building would be built, and this would come to be known as the Church of Dawn. Over time, this building eventually became a more organised religion, which elected their head of church, Logan the Light, one of The First who was able to cast magic through a divine connection. Logan's role would be to spread the words of the Lady of Life and later other upper realms gods and help people suffering in Amaltheon with the magic and power granted to him by the Lady of Life and his followers, respectively.
The church's purpose, almost four decades later, remains the same. The church helps raise up young souls in the way of divine magic, usually in the light and life domains, to train them as healers for the sick and wounded. Although many of its followers now operate from its Firstport premises, people of great importance are still trained here due to its closer connection to the Glimmering Grotto. It is rare for many of those who study under the church to pray to gods outside of the upper realms, but some have been notable for doing so. Bagra, the Patient, as she would come to be known after her ascension to divinity, often spoke out against the church's practises in her later years there and even tried to convince many other young clerics to hear her out. Many isolated her within the church for these views, though this information was well hidden until after her ascension.
For many, the church is a fundamental pillar of support for all in Amaltheon, and they continue to serve as such. Even now, the church often pays for adventurers to explore Amaltheon and help solve local troubles too, to ensure the safety of all of the Lady of Life's children.
