The Ruins of The Lakeside Inn
On the south side of Dawnbank sits a small inn, where many locals come to treat themselves to lovely homecooked meals and where many travellers will stay for the night on their expeditions up into the north of the western continent. Though the inn has not been around for a long time, it has become quite a famous sight within Dawnbank due to its great food, large drink menu, and breath taking view.
The Inn was originally founded by Celia Loughter and her close friend Darrel Portson, with Celia working the bar and Darrel working the kitchen. It is said that behind closed doors there was a great deal of tension, which was all but confirmed when, not even a year after the inn's opening, Darrel left to go and work in Firstport. The Inn struggled until an elven chef from Lyth Radh, Nylian Eraralei, travelled up to the Glimmering Grotto, staying in the Inn for just an evening, and this was all it took for him to fall for the land and Celia herself. The Inn now attracts more customers than ever, with Nylian working the kitchen, Celia working the bar, and their young daughter, Maenyphe, working as a support when her mother and father struggle to keep up with the foot traffic.
The Inn was destroyed when a blue dragon attacked Dawnbank on the 13th of Rainmoot 37 PW.
