Often thought to look like a kind old turtle, hunched over a walking stick, Gudione is the deity of tranquility and peace. Many monks chose him for guidance, whether they actually pray or not. He’s also thought to appear to people who are struggling with internal pains or regrets and offer guidance.  He is unique so far as being a widely known deity, often spotted on the road when the weather is far, or appearing to those who feel lost and confused.
Those who are impatient often find themselves irritated or frustrated with him, but he seems to enjoy the challenge that comes with such beings.
