The Gaster Family

With wild magic literally in their bloodline, the Gaster family is often considered strange and somewhat difficult to pin down. Between their physically malleable traits and their acceptance of highly unusual practices, the Gasters are seen as occasional extremest and practice very little in the way of religion.

Structure

The Gasters take to the practice of naming their heir at their discretion.

Culture

The Gasters have made a point of making acceptance a part of their culture, and as such it is often a haven for races that would normally be excluded from other styles of life. As such, beings like Teiflings and Saytars are fairly commonplace, as are less common lifestyles.

Public Agenda

The Gasters welcome all to travel to and live in their boarders, but beyond that tend to keep to themselves, considering it somewhat rude to put themselves in another's business.

History

Lord Garit was named a lord in 2541 at the age of 36. He had one son, Wix, though no one is sure of who mothered them. He died in 2562 at the age of 57.   Lord Wix took over Sapphire Shores in 2562 at the age of 32. They have not wed or named an heir.

Caring

Being that both kingdoms emphasize the lives and happiness of their citizens, the Gasters and Lichts have a mutual respect for one another.

Magic

Being born of magic the Gasters stuck up a mutual partnership with the Collwells, who are deeply interested in the idea of blood born magics, hoping to use them to possibly eliminate the possibility of necromantic practices in Tera'tun. As such, they often communicate or visit, despite living on opposite sides of the kingdom.

Oddities

While they've had no real relations to one another, the Doxys tend to approve of the Gasters due to the fact that the family is unusual and breaks several of the social norms. Being a family that challenges the norms in their own ways, the Doxys respect the Gasters, and it helps that they do know how to sail properly.

Caring

The Gasters hold a standing respect for the Hopes due to the care and attention they give their citizens.

Outcasts

The Gasters have often expressed an interest in the Northalls, being that they are so unusual and something of an outcast among the more respectable families.

Goblin Death

On an unusual note, the Gasters hold a deep hatred for the Woodway family due to their wide killing of the goblins in the nearby hills, giving Lord Wix's origins.

Lifestyle/Money

Being a family molded in the old age, the Eviers disapprove of some of the social laws in place in the Sapphire Shores and of the Gaster family in general. Likewise Lord Wix disapproves of the Evier family, thinking them cold and uncaring towards their own people, caring only about money.

Magic

Being that the Ofelds are extremely distrustful of magic, they have a fear of the Gasters, who live in a particularly magical way.

Beliefs

The Gasters and Stonebreakers often argue over their beliefs or lack thereof in the magma dragon and their daily rituals and practices.
