The Pyramid Temple of Ra

The Pyramid Temple, located in New Memphis, is dedicated to the city's patron god, Ra. The temple is built into the side of a large pyramid with a beam of light shining from inside it. It is said that this light first began shine during the Rome-Idgypt War of about 30 BC, and is said to have given the Idgyptians the strength to push the Romans out of Idgypt. The temple includes the main sanctuary, the barn of the Apis Bull, a warehouse, and housing for the priests. There is currently no known way into the pyramid, and knowledge of what is inside has been lost.

Purpose / Function

The original purpose of the pyramid has been debated for centuries, though it has been associated with the god Ra for even longer. The temple complex built into the side was added as a place of worship for the god.

Special Properties

A beam of light has been shining from the tip of the pyramid into the sky since the 1st Romano-Idgyptian War. While the source of the beam is unknown, it is seen as a symbol of strength by the Idgyptian people.

Alterations

The temple complex was built into the side of the pyramid shortly after the end of the 1st Romano-Idgyptian War.
