Physical Description
Special abilities
Foresight--Iardanel could see countless possible futures overlayed on each other, and the closer he looks, the further he can see. Without focus, these futures all occupy his sight simultaneously, causing confusion and disorientation.
Iardanel was a decent warrior, certainly a terrible foe to meet on the battlefield, but never a warlord or champion. His wisdom, foresight, and magic were unparalleled.
Apparel & Accessories
Loose, flowing, natural garments, often in bright colors made from glowworm silk, spider's webs, spun gold, leaves, and more.
Specialized Equipment
His loose, open clothes are always bound by a shining twisted golden torc. Myths hold that the torc was the source of his foresight, or a lost shard of luminious.
Iardanel's spear also served as a walking stick and a sign of authority. With its hemlock haft and bronze blade, the spear rendered Iardanel immune to all enchantments and deception.

Personal history
Wise Iardanel, Feyfather, rode on the foaming sea
With unicorns, Etarlam, and granddaughters three
It is said among the courts of the Archfey that Iardanel was the first fairy--an impossibility, all things considered, but a testament to his primordial origins. Little of Iardanel's youth is known, but he survived the Dawn World and the ordering of the Kingdoms. Legends whisper he foresaw the Fall of Luminias and the doom of the Dawn, and survived thanks to this foresight. When The Otherworld emerged, Iardanel chose to dwell there, free and wild. His eyes saw possibilities scattered before him like raindrops on a sheet of glass, merging and falling one after the other, all equally possible.
In the earliest days of The Otherworld, Iardanel begat Etarlam, who formed the first fairy court--the Court of Youth. Etarlam picked only those who took on comely visage, scorning fey who wore the weight of years upon their faces and frames, or who delighted in gruesome guises. Iardanel remained as his son's advisor and prophet, but in his visions he never saw his family. No prophecy or foresight would concern Iardanel's blood once it left his veins.
Etarlam, King of Youth, begat his daughters three -- Niamh of the Golden Hair and The Lady Rowan. When came the time for them to reach the fullness of their power, Iardanel's sight consumed his eyes. He saw a distant shore, a green land, and a silver tree at its heart. He saw a mortal hand pluck the apple from the tree, gift it to a crown, a crown that would reign forever. When he shared this vision with Etarlam, the King of Youth determined to ride forth from his lands and seek out this Silver Tree. Iardanel warned that his sight never included his family, and so the crown that reigns forever could not sit upon their heads, but Etarlam scoffed. Iardanel's vision was not perfect, he saw only possibilities, and that merely meant the Prophet could not see a future where Etarlam and his family reigned forever.
Determined to see his vision through and to advise his son even on this ill-advised quest, Iardanel set forth in a chariot fit for the gods, pulled by unicorns, with his three granddaughters and Etarlam aboard. Towards the east and the sunrise road they, out of the Lands of Youth to the Endless Ocean, across the tides and over the foam, until they spotted that far distant emerald shore.
But in none of his visions had Iardanel seen the mortals who stood upon the sands, staring into the sunset at the chariot of the gods, shocked to behold them.

Gender Identity
Iardanel is vaguely male, but as an archfey--as the supposed progenitor fey--gender is a playground, a palette of tones and shades to express oneself with.
Sexuality
Iardanel is passionately romantic, pansexual, and polyamorous.

Thoughtful, spontaneous, introspective, curious
Morality & Philosophy
As the Feyfather, Iardanel's morality primarily concerned his own family. He looked into the future to ensure the wellbeing of the fey and The Otherworld, but had no desire to rule over the Fey. Like The Laughing God, Iardanel believed that the worlds did not need leaders or rulers, and that universal freedom and spontaneity--wildness--were the natural, and best, state of being.
