The Fairy Games
With Ioth sealed within the Book of Dawn, Ioth Academy is vulnerable. The Fey lords see a chance to strike. On the Sky Sovereign's day, 6863, Morco burst into the dining hall of Tarslemoor House and declared the beginning of the Fairy Games.
All three fey courts-- The Seelie Court, The Unseelie Court, and the Wild Court--claim possession of the magic of Ioth Academy, sealed off by the magic of the golden sphere and siphoned from The Otherworld for over a thousand years. To decide who would claim the academy's magic, the three courts would play a series of games over the course of one year, and at that time whichever court had the most victories would win.
Ica Elnao and Inril Untermauler asserted the Academy's claim over that magic and right to represent itself, participating in their own name in the competition.
Each court claims victories over the other, both in formal events (none of which have actually occurred yet) and small victories (gaining the allegiance of students, humiliating loyalists/members of the other courts, enforcing their preferred vision/aesthetic on the academy and more). It's entirely uncertain who is actually keeping the score, but assumedly a score is being kept, with points gained and lost throughout the year.
Concerned about the fate of the academy, The Court of Reverie prepares to declare themselves at Fooltide and challenge the three established courts.
Let the games begin!
