Kingdom of K'Shanah-Ch'rth
Almost entirely grasslands, K'Shanah-Ch'rth's people are mainly centaurs, werecats, tabaxi, shapechanging druids, and intelligent animals.
The magnificent herds which graze the grasslands of K'Shanah and Ch'rth are one of the wonders of the world. Thousands of centaur, wemics, shapeshifting druids and intelligent animals (especially horses, bison, and big cats) surround the roving encampment of the centaur king, Speardancer. Dust covers everything in the K'Shanian capital-camp, and the king is often found by looking for the enormous dust cloud that rises over his entourage of soldiers, diplomats, artisans and servants.
About
Inspired by the example of the Ancient Godosseans to the north, K’Shanah and Ch’rth were two of the earliest caisheni kingdoms. Both were mostly grasslands, and both home to nomadic tribes with a few trading posts and permanent settlements. The border was so porous that when the crown prince of K’Shanah married the only princess of Ch’rth in 2859 B.C., the two countries simply merged. For almost four thousand years, the unified nation has been ruled by a single monarch. For the past seven hundred and fifty years, the nation's kings and queens have been part of the centaur Speardancer family, the longest dynasty in K’Shanian history. The crown goes to the eldest child, regardless of gender. The current King is Speardancer the First, a greying appaloosa centaur in his late fifties and an archdruid. Hospitality is universally important in K’Shanah-Ch’rth. Strangers and travelers are generally welcomed with food and wine and rest in exchange for news or stories. Since access to water is limited in the grasslands, strangers need to trust each other. Causing harm to your hosts will result in a death sentence, as does harming guests.
