Kolyan Indirovich is a stern but kind-hearted man. He cares deeply for his children and the people under his care in the village, but does not concern himself with matters beyond that. He does nothing to anger Strahd or draw the vampire's attention.
Kolyan has a lingering sadness around him, which has hung like a cloud over the family since the death of his wife Veronika shortly after the birth of their son, Ismark.
He goes on frequent hunting trips and one such trip, found a young girl wandering the woods alone. He took her home with him and raised her as his own daughter. He dotes on her, but like Ismark, is fiercely protective of her.
If Ireena is Tatyanna's incarnation, Kolyan is dead before the adventure begins.
