Afterdark
The Afterdark is the name given to the vast cavern system under the surface of Andara. Those on the surface are unaware of its presence and those in the Afterdark tend to be unaware of a surface world with some exceptions, mostly those who were pitted by the Ondolon or related to those who were.
It is inhabited by Gusine, Tolorian, Tian, Kuath, Viltevar, Grilig, Zaeel, Hashku, and Malema among other races.
Some major cities in the Afterdark are Brinna, Riat, and Tinimul.
The Afterdark was greatly changed after The Purple Worm Incident with passages collapsed and other passages opened. Species that had never had contact with each other were introduced. Previously connected by The Eight Portals, the Purple Worm Incident deactivated the four active portals, the other four having been deactivated in the past. Three of the portals had closed for reasons unknown while the fourth was closed
