The lake has been vital to Humans throughout their history on the prairie. For as long as history has been recorded, there have been several settlements along the lakes' shores, providing humans with water for drinking, agriculture, and creatures for food.
Mirror Lake has been credited with preventing Humans from going extinct several times by giving them a place to retreat during some especially bad fire seasons.
Tourism
Mirror Lake is frequently visited by folk from all across Tamerea, due to it's status as a major stop along a trade route that follows a river. Merchants are the most frequent visitors, but upper class folk will also travel here for pleasure.
The lake is also popular with fishermen due to the shear amount of species that call this lake home or migrate up and down to spawn.
