Following the death of a particularly notable Veldmathi at the hands of young dragon, the Gando-Veldmathi decided to declare war on the dragons in retribution. The war lasted for 30 years only ending when Varil convinced the Ancient Ones to intervene. The war resulted in the creation of the Order of Dragon Riders with Varil as the founding leader.
