Varil The Brave
Varil was a Veldmathi who lived during the time of the Last War of the Dragons. Varil was the primary individual responsible for getting the Ancient Ones involved in the war, and later became the founding leader of the Order of Dragon Riders.
Summary
During the time of the last war against the Dragons, an elf named Varil fought with the Coalition to stop the dragons from burning the human and elven cities. After around 30 years of fighting, and many cities lost, Varil had had enough of seemingly pointless fighting and approached the Ancient Ones and asked them to intervene on the side of the Coalition. After much pleading by Varil, and the elves who accompanied him, the Ancient Ones decide to intervene. However, instead of killing the dragons, the Ancient Ones used their power and knowledge to bind the dragons with powerful magic that tamed them somewhat. In addition, the magic allowed for a Human or Elf to be able to touch a hatchling dragon and bond with it. They then created a The Order of Dragon Riders, of witch Veril became the first and leader.
