The Farmer

Quiet and hardworking, the God known as the Farmer most often appears as a 20-meter tall genderless humanoid, with a lean, wiry frame and ruddy skin.

Worshippers

Halflings, humans, farmers, millers.

Clergy

The Church Of The Eternal Garden is the main church dedicated to the worship of the Farmer. Initiates into the Church are called "Seedlings," whereas priests are called "Sprouts," and senior members are called "Blossoms." They typically wear drab, functional clothing, as priests of the Farmer are expected to put in lots of work literally tending to crops and flocks. When they do dress formally, their vestments are green with brown accents.   Paladins of the Church of the Eternal Garden are called "Harvesters," and typically adorn their sheilds and armor with farming motifs.   A typical blessing from a member of the Church of the Eternal Garden is, "May your harvest be ever bountiful."   There is a second church dedicated to worship of the Farmer called the Church Of The Divine Shepherd . These followers tend to be very conservative humans, who believe that the commandments of the Farmer encourage discipline, harsh punishment, and protecting ones' community from outsiders.   Initiates into the Church of the Devine Shepherd are called "Lambs," and priests are called "Herders." Senior priests are called "Shepherds." Paladins of this church are called "Rams," and tend to use blunt weaponry.   A typical blessing of the Church of the Devine Shepherd is, "May you guide your flock to green pastures."

Temples

Temples of the Farmer tend to be located near actual farms. Most temples will have their own fields to tend and flocks to tend to. In addition, many temples also have storage silos and mills dedicated for communal use.

Dogma

The Commandments of The Farmer are as follows:
  • Sew good seeds early, tend them well, and they will yield a good crop.
  • Pull up weeds by the root so they do not take hold.
  • Tend to your flock and protect them.

Holidays

The Harvest Moon occurs on the last full moon of the month of the Farmer. The Harvest Moon Festival is a day-long festival, with agricultural competitions, pie-eating contests, and cooking competitions.
