Shrine of Jubilex
In the lost elven city of the Leith’Missien there is a temple dedicated to the Triple Goddess, which was built atop an ancient and cursed shrine to Juiblex, the Demon Prince of slimes and oozes who seeks to devour all life, in an effort to suppress its evil. It consists of three chambers, one to each aspect of the Triple Goddess.

In the central chamber of the third level, dedicated to Sehanine Moonbow, lay an injured elven warrior, his hair white from age. His breath was short, and he has been burned by an attack from a firebolt or similar spell. His lower half is caked in the same grime and muck that seems to be rising from the floor below. He claims to be the last surviving guardian of this temple, but he is not what he seems.
The real Dayereth died a long time ago and this manifestation is the sulfurous impersonation of an Elder Oblex, Jubliex that lurks nearby. The evil of the shrine below has attracted many oozes to this location, and their invasion is what ultimately destroyed the Leith’Missien. This oblex is a psychic ooze that traps the knowledge and memories of those it ingests. It can create smulacrums of those upon which it has fed.
The simulacrums it created are connected to its main body with tendrils of slime that can be up to 120 feet long. It is a spellcaster that can cast detect thoughts at will.
The oblex lingered here for decades, waiting for someone to penetrate the temple’s defences. Having ingested many of the temple’s defenders, it knows the layout of the temple, including all traps and short cuts, allowing it to move around with ease. It also knows about the false wand that the elves installed in the shrine to act as a decoy.
The first humanoids it has encountered in several hundred years were the Obliviati, led by Clavis Interitus, but they were able to see through its ruse and attacked. As such, the oblex did not share its knowledge with them.
