Temple of the Balanced Energies

Following the end of the The War of the Energies, the Legend of Lumina & Cherog  states that the two generals oversaw the creation of a Temple to the pact of balance they had both entered into.
They descended and live therein for many centuries, but upon Lumina conceiving a child, she worried about betrayal from Cherog. She tricked him and sealed him in another realm, sealing the rift and binding it to the balancing pact to maintain the equilibrium of the Energies and Elements.
The Temple lies many feet underground, beneath the Stone Circle of Ornblake. There is now known to be a grand, columned entrance hall which divides into two main parts, one half dedicated to the light, and one to the dark.
Our heroes found Nieve Tollund on the Altar of Darkness, ready to be sacrificed by Salenis Vendari to release Cherog. He was foiled, but not before a shadow demon herald of Cherog was released and irrevocable damage to the equilibrium occurred. The Herald threatened that this chink in the Equilibrium to escape his confines.
