Wenret Goldfoot

Leader of the Davey Lamps and shared of the Goldfoot family Wenret is something of a pariah these days as many blame him for the schism in the family causing the once iron grip on steel production to be on far more shaky ground these days. However no one can question his business acumen, work ethic, or dedication to the mines and the continued legacy contained within. Wenret is utilitarian and practical to a fault, favoring studying results over gut feel in every aspect of how he runs things. Prove to him that happy workers are better workers with numbers and he would be dressed in clown make up every day.
"Willa scares me I feel like if the fancy took er we could end up as some art exhibition our skin flayed off, at least Wenret would show you the numbers on how your life was meaningless first." - Davey Lamp Worker

Appearance

Wenret, the Korrigan leader of The Davey Lamps, stands at a mere 3'6" tall. His blond hair is swept back and held in a tight pony tail to be out of the way while he works and pours over the numbers from the mines. His presence is in some ways subdued and almost retreated into himself making him appear shorter and smaller than he is. He is the very epitome of a man in charge not through charisma but through brains.   His outfit is practical in every sense of the word and immaculately clean. A smart suit with a large top hat and a small chain that goes to a pocket watch kept in his pocket are his usual atire even when working in the deep mines a place he much prefers to the Goldfoot Manor.
Wenret would pass for almost any Korrigan business man such as the banality of his dress and countenance.

Personality

Wenret is a very withdrawn person pulled into himself and seemingly always thinking about the next big business decision to be made. That is not to say he is not capable of making big decisions but he is a man who likes to have all the numbers in front of him before he makes a move. He is a creature ruled by logic and calculations a stark contract to his sister.

Background

Wenret comes from the prestigious Goldfoot family, one of a pair of twins and along with his sister Wila Goldfoot they have split the family fortune between them leading to a schism in the rest of the family and it's retainers.

Early Life

Wenret being born into the Goldfoots was born into privilege though even at the earliest of his youth there were questions being asked about who would inherit the vast wealth and fortune of the Goldfoots. At this time though Wenret got along beautifully with his sister and from all accounts the pair were inseparable and quite a force to be reckoned with. She being the artist of the two would design and create to her hearts content while Wenret helped to bring these desgins to life while adding enough practicality to make them truly spectacular works.

Adolsence

It was in their formative years though that things changed and rumors abound about what may have caused it. The most prevelant of which is a lover that came between the two and divided their attentions ultimately spurning them both and driving a wedge between them. How true this is is anyone's guess though it is a fact that the pair were never again seen in public together.

Death of a Matriarch

Before her passing Roseni Goldfoot had declared that the two businesses that the Goldfoots operated should be split between the twins and when she finally passed full control of both passed to the twins and Wenret set about making her mark upon the Davey Lamps. He laboured tirelessly to increase the efficiency of the Davey lamps and get them finding ever more veins of ore from deep within the Garden Wall   Darker rumors persist though of attempts on Wilas life and vice versa the two's seething hostility was threatening to boil over into outright war now that the shackles of their mother had been removed, only time will tell if things can return to a seethe.

Relationships

Wenret has no time for relationships preferring the company of coin and the ledgers of his business.

Abilities

A great calculator and understanding of engineering but nothing truly remarkable.

Equipment

An abacus is never far from hand
