The Wicked Fool
The pub in Quinton is the largest building in the town, no others have a second storey.
The first floor is built of stone, said to have been gathered from the site of the ruins of the pub that stood on this same spot going back to even before the World Forest sprang up. The second floor is made of local timber.
Inside, there is a large central saloon, with a huge stone fireplace on the western wall, where a pot of stew has been bubbling for longer than anyone can remember.
Currently run by the dwarf Thalia Stoutarm, who is also cheif brewer and cook,
Purpose / Function
The only pub in town, the Fool also has rooms and stables available for travellers.
History
It is said that the Fool predates all other buildings in the area, being an Inn from the ancient times before the World Forest.
Its ruins were found and the stone used to rebuild and the town formed around it over three hundred years ago. Rumours say that the name of the pub comes from either an old, worn sign found in the ruins, or a single Tarok card found lodged in the stone. Others say it was names for a local figure who tried to get the better of Singing Bess Everbristle, a sort of bogeyman figure in local folklore.
