Wilds of Possibility
The Wilds of Possibility is the area around The Core of Arbressian within the perimeter of the Coale skyrail. It is ungoverned and uninhabited aside from the Core Keeper at the Core Embassy. The name comes from the fact that nature here is unpredictable, landmarks may move, appear, or disappear at random and portals to other planes of existence can pop up at any time. All kinds of creatures can also randomly appear or disappear at any given moment. The only constants are the rivers and lake that flow from the waterfalls of The Core of Arbressian; as well as the Embassy and its grounds which are magically protected.
Despite the unpredictable and dangerous nature of the Wilds of Possibility, many adventurous spirits still choose to venture beyond the protective wards of the Coale skyrail and expose themselves to the risk. The draw of seeing the Seed of Possibility, the raw material of which the Creator Gods created this universe, up close or perhaps even to touch it is a great temptation to many - especially to particularly devout individuals. Most pilgrims will be satisfied simply to bathe in the holy rivers that they can safely visit outside of the Wilds of Possibility, but those that choose to go all the way to The Core know that there is a high risk of death or to simply vanish.
Adventurers with no real interest in making it all the way to The Core might be somewhat safer as long as they stay close enough to the skyrail. The unpredictability of the Wilds seems to be strengthened the further in one goes. Sometimes great treasure, rare plants, or unusual creatures with valuable parts can be found which makes the risk worth it for some adventurers. However, it is just as likely to return empty handed or not return at all so it is very important to know the risks before venturing out into the unknown.
