05: Law of Firmament

Manifestation

The Firmament Laws end with the totality of the Law summarized by the end of Article I of the Origo Magnum Opus. In the context of the Law of Firmament, there is the first mention of the "Meta- Rim". Alchemists who've studied the text suggest that this is a reference to Matter, the physical material of the Ley Corpus, but Diviners have taken this to suggest the point where Oah, the God of the Cosmos, resides: the Throne of Aeon, where the Original left the Origo Magnum Opus. Separating the bounds between these realms are forces beyond our current understanding, but it is known that the "Meta- Rim" is where Oah's orrery watches for all of Time.

Of the cosmic forces that prevents the approach of the Meta- Rim, there is the Proof of Boundaries that "All- Life is unable to "touch"; materially and meta-physically bound". Those who attempt to break or circumvent the Law of Firmament do so at their own peril; for example, a Teleportation spell is known to fail, causing disastrous effects for the Caster. They may phase into an object, resulting in the loss of a limb or death, in most cases. Boundaries exist around all things in the form of membranes and limits.

The description of the shape within the beginning of the Law starts as a point or line and draws shapes between. The trine, represeting the triangle, and the arch or arc as the threshold. The final fold describes a House, which becomes the subject of this Law. Shapes are defined in the Law of the Firmament, leading scholars to the conclusion that "All- Life is confined, in either spirit or matter, by a defined shape."
This is the Proof of Shape.

Before the Houses of Magic were officially recognized, there were no classifications for magic, which limited their individual disciplines. By defining the boundaries of the Houses, a system was created which organized the current understanding of magic. Defined by their Divinatory practice (ability to read and commune with the Source), the schools of thought surrounding magic became much more distinguishable from each other. Establishing the "8 Houses Movement" which states that "Of the Houses of Magic, there are 8; of the House of All- Life, there are 8 potentials." This movement upon the Law acknowledges that within the Source of All- Life, there are orders and organizations, classifications of subjects and species. This principle is further expressed in the Law of Transmutations.

Students who understand the totality of the Firmament Laws 00-05 understand that a structure is necessary for the vessel of All- Life; that it is formed in and of the Matter of that Life which forms the Construct. Domains are contained within layers of the Construct, lending structure and form, and the singularity of Domains within is the Source, referenced as the "center". The Source infuses All- Life with energy and radiates from outside and within. That energy infuses the vessel and courses through All- Life, flowing as one continous constant. By ordering the Houses of Magic and coming to understand the Firmament Laws, Casters agree to a unique understanding. In the "All- Chemia", it is referenced as a model: known as the Meta-Man Model, which outlines the Body-Mind-Spirit-Soul relation, the Aura Lattice, and the matter which sepates and defines the form.

While one can touch a material, one can never truly be in a state of "touch" with a material, meaning friction prevents one from truly ever touching. Separated by a microcosm of particles, these forces are the subject of many chapters within the "All- Chemia". The Diviners of the Laws of the Firmament wrote the "Source- Vessel Provision", ""Vessel is a House for Source with 4 compartments; 3 rooms to fill the Mind, Spirit and Soul, and 1 threshold, inner & outer." This explains why objects are able to possess a soul or spirit; the collective unity of spirits is contained within the vessel, reflecting their owners' or artisans' Soul as well. Dwelling objects are prone to the Law of Attunements, given their stationary properties as items. This Law is discussed later within these texts.
