Evan
Looking at them, one might assume that "Evan" was some sort of pseudonym, or that their parents had particularly avant garde tastes. After all, elves tended to have far more... elegant names.
Shockingly, Evan wasn't this particular elf's name, or at least not their full name.
"Evan" was a complete unknown until "he" arrived in Crucible around 1214 and made a name for himself as part of the Iron Hand Mercenary Company. Here he would stay until one fateful day when his captain was saved from execution by Cultists of Rapture by an adventuring group. Thankful for his life, the captain offered to have Evan escort them through the tunnels beneath the city they were attempting to navigate. Afterwards, the city was almost immediately attacked by Shepherd's undead forces, and Evan found himself thrust into the middle of it.
He officially joined with the adventuring party, and through their journeys together, "his" true identity was revealed: Princess Evangeline of the elven city of Laminar far, far to the west. Many years ago, Evangeline had found herself as the collateral damage of a plot by her brother Mainar to seize the throne for himself by killing his brother Calvan. Mainar pinned the blame on Evangeline and attempted to have her killed as well, but she was able to escape and flee far beyond the reaches of their secluded woodland kingdom.
Mainar proved determined though, and eventually his agents also found their way to Horizon, where they crossed paths with Evan and her companions. Unfortunately for Evan, the party always seemed to have more pressing matters whenever these things came up, and it wasn't until after Shepherd was dealt with that the party traveled with Evan to confront her estranged brother back in Laminar.
Together, they were able to put the pieces of Mainar's conspiracy and present them to the city's elders. What's more, they even found a means of resurrecting Calvan, whose body had "disappeared" shortly after his death. With Mainar deposed and Calvan back on the throne, Evangeline has remained in Laminar ever since, where she and her brother guided her people into a new age of prosperity lasting far beyond the events of The Extinction War.
As of 1590, she and Calvan still watch over their people. Despite her slowly encroaching
