Bazen Lowlands
Geography
The Bazen Lowlands are the largest civilized region in Archestria. It is bordered to the south by the South Ocean, to the north by Scorch Alley and Zymora, and to the east by the Shadowglade. It consists of forests, grasslands, beaches, and a swamp. Laenric Forest and Kazzin Forest sit on either side of Bazen River, which flows into Lake Abosa. Three rivers scatter from the lake, providing food, water, and transportation for countless farming villages that dot the green landscape. In the east, a circular mountain range surrounds Bazen Castle, home of the monarchy of the Bazen Kingdom.Demographics
While every race can easily be found in the Bazen Lowlands, the largest slice of the population consists of humans and halflings. Gnomes and elves are more common in the forests. The Lowlands are full of humble farmers and traders; combat is generally constrained to guards and mercenaries, and the occasional adventurer. Of those who do fight, a wide variety of combat styles are used, both magic and martial. Druids are especially common in wild areas, such as the forests, beaches, and swamp.
