Hexmarks

The Hexmarks are a subset and arm of the Illuminated Assembly. Charged with information gathering and keeping tabs on the various power groups around Ardicil, the Hexmarks often work in the shadows of the more welcomed consulate magi that the Illuminated Assembly willingly give to the political powers all over Ardicil.   Secrecy is both the Hexmarks best weapon and its best defense, and much of the guild’s work is hidden even from other members. Moonweaver agents leave no trace of their covert activities, warping the memories of witnesses to their crimes and even wiping their own minds to remove any evidence of their completed assignments. Most of the time, Hexmarks agents will employ local entities under the guise of contractors in order to collect various sparse amounts of information and carry out tasks without worry of it being traced back to the Hexmarks.   The Hexmarks began as a subset of couriers and librarians on the Isle of Winds. As their influence grew, so did their abilities to collect and broker information. Supreme Illuminated Taraxus saw this growth as potentially useful, and soon turned the Hexmarks into what they are today.
