The War of Arcanum

When the societies of the elemental primordial titans, mainly led by the alliance between the Saurians of the plane of earth, and the Tritons originally hailing from the plane of Water. They had gathered to them many of the mortal races as well, splitting them off from their divine homes and whisking them to the skies in their flying cities, or submerging them below in the massive utopias. Following the Dance of Dragons, these two societies rose to control within the material plane, and soon began to draw the ire of divinity. They sought way to mold the planes, and grant immortal life, challenging the very power of the gods.  This led to eventually some of the Tritons attempting to kill some of the gods themselves, a preemptive strike. They targeted specifically Kelemvor, The Judge and Tempurus, the Time Keeper, and Zaridun, The Changer of Ways. The other gods, seeing the potential this blow could have done to divinity and the planes as a whole, the gods intervened.   A great war was fought between those dedicated to the elemental magics and those dedicated to the divine ones. Great civilizations clashed, as the flying and submerged cities clashed with the divine eternal armies of the gods. Many battles were fought by the chosen of each side. .Giant primordials summoned by the Arcane clashed with solars sent by the gods, holy paladins clashed with great magi, scarring the landscape for generations to come. At the end of this conflict, when the flying cities of Arcanum fell to the earth, and millions had perished with the landscape left in ruin, did the full plot emerge. While both sides had weakened, the forces of Zaridun, The Changer of Ways, Torog, The Banished Queen, and Teritus, The Plague Lord remained strong. They gathered allies to their cause, and tricked their siblings into joining them. When they turned on the Prime Deities, this began the War of Wrath.
