Spark and Flame's Magnificent Emporium of Magical Items
The shop is actually a door mounted on a wall. The rest of the shop is actually encased in an extra-dimensional pocket. The owners are Spark and Flame, two Warforged brothers. Spark a Wild Magic Sorcerer, and Flame a War Magic Wizard. Both founding members of the Lazurite Academy and are members of the Academy's Council and leaders of two of the five towers.
The shop is huge on the inside and some say, constantly grows as needed. Inside is what many consider to be an Adventurer's Dream. Magical items of every kind (including those exclusively made by the Lazurite Academy ), Potions, familiars/animal companions, as well as basic supplies. The shop is always open no matter the time of day or night. They are even willing to purchase items collected by adventurers as well. Would be thieves think twice before stealing from it though. The entirety of the store is heavily warded with the most powerful of magics and the owners lay claim to any remains of thieves and anything they once owned. Even the soul of thieves is captured and stored. Between the Golems, Familiars, Traps, Magical Wards and Constructs, theft from here is akin to suicide.
The prices are fair and the owners will even enlist adventurers for certain tasks and jobs and will pay in gold or items of equivalent value. The only question is, do the adventurers think the risk is worth the reward?
Purpose / Function
To provide adventurers with basic supplies, exotic items and magical items of every kind.
Architecture
In the Second Circle of Masgala City, there stands a stone wall 10 feet long, 10 feet high and 1 foot thick. On the wall is an ornate door with arcane runes engraved into it. Both the wall and the door are magically reinforced and as such are immune to mundane damage and resistant to magical damage. In addition to this, locals swear it constantly repairs itself. There are signs outside of it that declare this odd piece of construction as the entrance to the Magnificent Emporium.
History
The store was a long time dream of Spark and Flame. Spark wanted to open a store similar to what his wife once had in Baldur's Gate, just grander. Flame simply wanted a place to safely and quietly practice his magical studies and experiments. The store was the combination of both desires come true. After their Decent Into Avernus and following return, they opened this store and retired from the adventuring life.
