Master Einirk

(a.k.a. The Master)

Master Einirk, (Temple Jazeric: Ein-irk Atti; Classical Jazeric: Eeŋ-irkh Apti), was a Jazeri monk and philosopher who studied and taught about the nature of the Elements and the art of jilmʌʌr or elemental martial arts.   Master Einirk taught lectures at PLACEHOLDER atop Mount PLACEHOLDER; the lectures were on topics such as the nature of the elements, how to learn the elements, unarmed and elemental fighting techniques, and methods of meditation. While the Master himself did not write, an anonymous pupil of his has transcribed various lectures, these transcriptions have been compiled into multiple works such as "On the Elements", "Lessons in Unarmed Combat" and "Jilmʌʌr" . Such works form the basis of our understanding of the Elements and their manipulation.   "Einirk" is not actually his birth name, it is a sort of monastic name given to him after he became a master. The name translates to something like "Air Weaver" and is a reference to the Heavenly Element of Air which is also known as the "binding/weaving energy" (in Classical Jazeric: khön irǝkhnēta) ; it is through harnessing the power of Air that the manipulation of the Earthly Elements is possible. Einirk's true name is a mystery, in fact little is known about his life before joining the monastery, but evidence suggests he may have been a part of or associated with the PLACEHOLDER Clan. He likely cut all ties with the Clan before becoming a monk.
